58th Grammy’s are coming to CBS Television Network, Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) and they just announced the return of their host. Here is what they have to say:
“We are delighted to welcome back the very talented LL COOL J as our host for the 58th GRAMMYs®,” said Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow. “His unique expertise, both as a GRAMMY-winning recording artist and accomplished actor, allows him to connect with both his musical peers and the fans at home, and his dynamic personality and charismatic energy set the perfect tone for our show.”
LL Cool J responds about hosting the 58th Grammy’s:
“The performances and moments that take place on the GRAMMYs stage are awesome in so many ways for the audience and artists alike,” said LL COOL J. “I’m honored once again to host Music’s Biggest Night as we celebrate the talented music creators of today. It’s going to be an incredible night and I’m excited to share this experience with the world.”
LL Cool J is coming fresh off a great season of hosting the new show Lip Sync Battle on Spike TV and proving that his experience hosting the GRAMMYs was well worth it. He is a funny and charismatic guy in general with an electric smile that makes the women in my family swoon. His expertise from his music career helps give him personal insight into today’s relevant artists and the struggles the newbies go through to get their music heard. Plus his love of music spans through many genres keeping him in touch with all the artists nominated for a Grammy.
I have been watching the GRAMMYs my entire life and I gotta say that LL Cool J has been one of my favorite hosts. Should be another exciting year and can’t wait to see who goes home with a shiny new GRAMMY.
